TORONTO'S JET BROKER

My brokerage house has taken thousands of listings, and we do justice by our clients, by negotiating good deals for them. We have a tried and tested set of advertising parameters, and we always put people in the field, visiting operators, owners, other brokers and trade shows to be sure we earn our commission. We are only able to publish perhaps 30% of our clients listings for sale. As the aviation business is intensely private, many owners don't want to "spread the word" For that reason I believe John Hopkinson & Associates to be exceptionally astute at listing aircraft, by meeting all of our clients requests and criteria.

Then there is the buying side, Acquisitions. Why I absolutely love the buying side is like everybody else, I love the hunt. There are deals hidden in plain sight. I have purchased in the past for myself and others after months of steady and exhausting negotiation.  I loved every minute of it. Hidden gem pops up. At times I can look across the advertised market field and there is a herd of seemingly alike aircraft, with seemingly alike specs and seemingly alike prices, but I can see the ears perk up of the most willing seller or the plane with the best pedigree.  I know it is the best of the lot and I grab hold of it for the client. Reluctant buyers always say that's the one that got away.

The Buying Side

The key to our success is a secret I can give away, because it can't be duplicated, at least not for a while; 50 years of transacting, and a large team of dedicated and full time staff. A staff that does not spend half the day chartering airplanes, a quarter of the day managing them and an eighth of the day flight scheduling, we spend the entire day buying and selling airplanes. researching the values, appraising planes, visiting sellers, taking down mission profiles and analysing them for buyers, and my favorite part, hunting for the right plane that suits the client's needs and budget. We are the only broker in Canada, so confident in our ability we buy fleets into inventory.

Our approach compares favorably on a global scale as well. We keep an office and inventory in Arizona, we source out paint shops, interior shops, maintenance shops and engine shops, and use them ourselves, the only way to give true testimonials. When the deal needs to monitored and the end details need to accounted for, we are a physically present protective shield and well footed team of negotiators for our buyer clients. We maintain the utmost integrity and ensure a successful completion of a sale in the buyers favor. Keen senses only come from learning from one's experience, and we are out there learning , hunting and experiencing the buying side of the aircraft market every day.  Don't be satisfied with statistical knowledge, and spec sheets. We want to provide more than that. We want to bring the power of our negotiation skills and handling of an individual situation to bear in your favor. That is the indescribable skill described and it shows up not the asking price and the spec sheet, but in the final number.

Beyond First Class

As you whisk quietly to your destination, lights dimmed, with your legs extended, perhaps reading the daily paper on your phone, or sitting at the boardroom table in the sky, take a moment to reflect where you had been, in 1st class, just a short time ago.

It took a while to move up from economy to business class. Then as a first class passenger, leg room, shorter time in the line up by a few minutes. Meal and drink service at your seat seem to arrive faster and be more frequent. A pillow is at hand and possibly a friendly smile. This all seems fairly good for a while.

If you're running a demanding private business with employees and investors always seeking your input, or you are in charge of a public company with shareholders and a board that have a strong demand for your time, travel, especially travel that does not allow constant communication and control of your environment, should either be gainful and/or peaceful. Neither of which you will find on a commercial airliner. You can call it Royalty Class, it is still just a seat on somebody else's terms.

To go on your schedule, with your own companions, have access to remote areas, conduct meetings on board, use your internet and cell connections or perhaps get a full nights rest, you must travel by Private Jet.  In a medium jet you can walk around, dine at your seat or join friends for lunch at a club seat. Not only are you greeted with a smile but a familiar one. Your pilots , your flight attendant, are your own. Maybe even the family dog. Pop in a DVD, connect to the internet, make a call. When you arrive, not at 500 commercial airports, but at over 7000 Jet accessible airports. Pull up to the executive terminal, customs will out to greet you, your bags will literally at hand. It's not a bit of an improvement over 1st Class, its an entirely difference experience. It is truly the closest mankind can come to buying time and far beyond 1st Class.
